This work is a sketch for the "Fight of Odysseus with the Beggar". The Oil painting under the same title, compare Berend-Corinth 253. The reverse bears the stamp "Atelier-Lovis Corinth", as well as the hand written title in pencil and the signature by the son Thomas Corinth. Provenance: Atelier Lovis Corinth, Thomas Corinth. Condition: Generally good condition. The right hand margin is damaged- three tears in the outer margin Paper lightly discolored. Some water stains at the lower right.
