The work is in perfect condition. The frame has two small dents as show in the photograph.

Sandyrev Ivan Tarasovich (1932 - 2002)

A talented artist from Sergiev Posad, who reconceived the icon stylistics in his art works. He received his vocational training at the Surikov Art Institute in Moscow, in the workshop of Alexander Deineka. Sandyrev was a member of the Union of Artists since 1968 and has later become an honoured artist of the Russian Federation. The artist’s paintings are held in museum collections in the cities of Bryansk, Donetsk, Sergiev Posad, Serpukhov, Smolensk, as well as private collections in Japan, Germany, USA, Great Britain, France and Russia.
