Rolf Ziegler was born in 1955, in Belp, canton of Bern. The focus of Rolf Ziegler were human beings. However, human beings hardly ever appear directly in the work, but in different transformations. 

Focus of his work: paintings, sculptures, objects and art in construction. It is typical for him that most works work like collages, assemblages, those effects are achieved with painterly means.
With such refined trompe-l'oeil-effects the autodidact Rolf Ziegler demonstrates his sovereign mastery of the craft, which he has worked out for himself. But there is more behind it. They are also requested to patiently have a look, which does not content with the first fleeting moment.
