Carlo VANCHIERI - RX Sub

The painting is actually a sort of " vision " , embodying a washed-out picture taken in underwater conditions, slightly returning such an X-ray image.
Technique consists of tissue paper masks trapped inside the painting, so the final effect consists of an absolute oil.

Made use of the left side decorative pattern of the painting to produce the flyer of " La Première " , a solo exhibition that took place at Palazzo delle Aquile in Palermo, on January 2007.

Two small holes have formed on the canvas surface, probably due to an impact. However, they are completely invisible on the front side, as managed to completely repair the damage and put two different patches upside each hole, reporting a signature, a stamp and the date of the restoring intervention. All the above thing are clearly shown in the picture of the back of the painting itself.
