The American artist Augustine Kofie is known as the leading figure of the Graffuturism movement in the United States, with a career that began in graffiti writing and evolved into abstraction. Based in Los Angeles, he has been exhibiting his work since 2009 and is considered one of the most talented American abstract artists of his generation to emerge from the graffiti scene.

Collectors are particularly fond of his wooden works, which the Los Angeles-based artist frames himself using vintage advertising moldings sourced from abandoned factories or flea markets. This particularly beautiful 2013 piece features soft tones reminiscent of the 1960s, a period highly sought after in the artist’s body of work.
