in 1987. The painting was purchased by his parents in the 1950's.

This masterpiece by Sokolov is now restored to Museum Quality by master restorer Hovik Kochinian who recently restored a "Madonna" painting by Raphael Santi (1483-1520) & also restored Michelangelo Merisi Caravaggio (1571-1610)
