Description de l'oeuvre

Mimmo Paladino, together with Edition Sabine Knust, published in 1993/1994 the portfolio "Für die Pinakothek der Moderne" to support the new building of the Munich museum.
We propose here a linocut print in seven colours, a limited edition of only and exclusive 14 numbers, signed by hand.

Domenico Paladino, also known as "Mimmo" (Paduli, 18 December 1948), is among the international artists who stand out as exponents of the Transavanguardia, an artistic movement theorized and promoted by Achille Bonito Oliva, in 1980.
The Transavanguardia will bring about a return to painting, following the various conceptual currents that had formed in the 1970's.
Paladino's painting will also be influenced by the art and culture of antiquity, also recalled through the recovery of techniques such as mosaic and encaustic.
