Angeles Benimeli (1933-2021).
Spanish artist raised in Madrid, from a very young age she showed a natural virtue with pencils drawing people and scenes around her. From 1948 to 1959 she studied at the School of Arts and Crafts, at the Fábrica Nacional de la Moneda y Timbre and at the San Fernando School of Fine Arts, all in Madrid. She was awarded all these years with the first academic prizes. At the age of 26, she possessed extraordinary skill, technique and knowledge in Fine Arts. She was a delicate and reserved woman who preferred to be a woman, wife and mother without seeking artistic glory. She painted for 55 years and gave drawing classes to many students in her private studio in Alicante (Spain).
After her death, it is her son who makes her artwork known to the world trying to seek recognition and value of the name of her mother Ángeles Benimeli and everything that mattered little to her.
