His vision seems to mix an unconscious vision tangling paths and images in a multidimensional cosmos and conscious characters looking for their way in a labyrinth among Ariadne's threads. After the failure of the Berlin Wall in 1961, communication was the only way to defuse the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962. The character in red on the left of the painting may represent the Soviet Union trying to lead the way with the movement of his arm. The other characters in black which increase the feeling of a gap with the red one. They observe with an arm close to the body or behind their back, like static on square slabs in comparison with the red character whose feet are in motion, settled on a cross marked square lab with another one just near to it. These crosses may symbolize the dangerous step of the USSR not to be reached. The fuzzy and colored shapes at the edge of the slabs seem to represent a void, a kind of apocalyptic nothingness.
