"Cheeky." No word better describes The London Police, a group of British street artists who create fun, mischievous works of art with smiley faces. This original ink on paper Untitled, 2016 is a great example of their "cheeky" practice. The London Police's signature smiley faces float around in space while tails trailing behind them. They look like anthropomorphic dreamcatchers, or like self-driving bumper cars having a go at it. The black and white palette is classic, even elegant, which leaves plenty of room for good humor.
