André Bréchet , (October 22, 1921- March 27, 1993)
In addition to his Delémont education, he studied painting, sculpture, and drawing at the Kunstwebschule in Basel between 1942 and 1944. His travels took him to Paris, where he studied under André Lhote (1947-1948) and by Fernand Leger (1949).
From 1944, he made numerous exhibitions of sculpture and painting in Switzerland and abroad. He made many stained glass windows for churches, in Switzerland, in the United States and in France, and for individuals.
Winner of the André Susse prize (1961), first prize from the Swiss Embassy in Paris (1966).
