Gao Huijun was born in Baoding, Hebei in 1966. He graduated from Hebei Light Industry School in 1986. In 1992, he graduated from the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts (now the Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University ). In 1994, he settled in Songzhuang Xiaobao.
