Wang Liuqiu (November 1919-February 27, 2011), originally from Chaoan, Guangdong , was born in Thailand and was the first president of Zhejiang Oil Painting Association. In 1938, he returned to China to participate in the Anti-Japanese War. In 1945, he graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Yan'an Lu Xun Academy of Arts and Letters . Later, he went to the army to work in art.


He used to be a reporter of "Jianghuai Pictorial", head of the art section of the Art Troupe, deputy head of the art team of the Military Political Department, director of the China Artists Association, president of the Zhejiang Oil Painters Association , professor of the China Academy of Art , and honorary president of the Zhejiang Oil Painters Association.
