This painting was painted outside on a beach in Devon. I was visiting the area to display artwork at an exhibition in March 2022. I painted two paintings outdoors on the beach. I have already sold the painting entitled Westward. This painting, entitled Westward 2 was painted on to a wooden panel, with layers of acrylic paint. It was my response to the beach , water, sun and wind that I was experiencing at the time.
