Smoke on the Water is painted in acrylic on a box canvas. It captures the energy and also stillness of the water, inspired by sunsets that I have seen in Scotland.

When painting on a canvas of this size I am able to paint freely and expressively, whilst creating a piece with lots of energy and movement. The colour gold features through a lot of my work and makes for a statement piece in any room.
