My sculptures are hyperplastic, a story inspired by an old photo of Dior, and a living doll among not living dolls. Created in December 2020. There are over 11 sculptures in this concept. Each is individual. And with the help of a photoshoot with girls, I want to show the size and resemblance to a real person. A doll and a non-doll can stand side by side like girlfriends. A living person next to a doll can, on the contrary, pretend to be a doll. And also a doll can be confused with a living figure.
This is an art project of the sculptures’ big project is part of the “hyperplastic Motanka” project, a traditional doll from ancient times. Motanka is a traditional doll that protects both the house and the child with its positive energy. I like to study and delve into history. Inspired by this part of the history of my country, Ukraine, I got the idea to create a full-length motanka sculpture. Let it be even more powerful energetically than small and more noticeable.
