Hungary. Studied art in Budapest before traveling to France and Milano, studied conservation in Dresden, Germany and moved to Sweden from 1924. He served as a reserve officer in the First World War, where he was wounded and given a lighter service as a photographer. The war pictures he took during the war are now in museums. Hradil is best known for his naturalistic portraits influenced by Rubens but also landscapes and
