Born in Brantford Ontario in1965, Hoffer has a M.F.A. from Concordia University in Montréal, degrees from the University of Guelph, Ontario, and the Ontario College of Art in Toronto. He has lived and worked in Toronto, New York City, Montreal and now maintains a significant studio practice in Berlin, Germany.
