Description du vendeur

Louis Nallard was born in Algiers the 17th of June 1918. Louis Nallard engaged himself in aviation in 1936 : the war emerged, and he remained seven years in uniform. Demobilized, he made friends with Marcel Bouqueton, who later introduced him to the gallery Jeanne Bucher and to Maria Manton, with whom he married in 1944. In 1946 he became associated with the painter Georges Ladrey, who, like him, was passionate about the work of Pierre Bonnard.

While exhibitions continued to be organized of his work, both in France and overseas, Louis Nallard joined the Beaux-Arts in 1975, where he was teaching until 1983. His work is represented in many museums, notably in Paris at the Centre Pompidou and Musée d’Art Moderne de la ville de Paris, in Grenoble, at the Fonds Régional d’Art Contemporain d’Auvergne, in Algeria, Budapest, Montreal, Oslo and Turin.
