Provenance : Private collection in Paris. Thanks to a scholarship at 17 (1927) he went to Madrid, visited the Prado Museum and met Juan Ramón Jiménez and almost the entire "Generation of '27"; shortly afterwards he went to Paris with Pedro Flores and Luis Garay, with whom he made an exhibition at the Quatre Chemins gallery. Juan Guerrero Ruiz (...) was, in 1928, the architect of his march to Paris, with a scholarship from the Murcia City Council, while his colleagues Pedro Flores and Luis Garay did it with others from the Provincial Council. Exhibitors (...) in a then very important Parisian hall, Aux Quatre Chemins, the three Murcians (...) connect, in that Paris, with painters of our generation of '27, like Francisco Bores (...) with the who would always maintain relationships of friendship and admiration-, Ismael de la Serna, Hernando Viñes, Pancho Cossío, or Joaquín Peinado,  with Picasso himself - then resident on rue de la Boëtie...
