Self-taught naïve Croatian artist, inspired by folk imaginary stories transmitted by his mother. He grows in contact with nature from which he draws teaching and inspiration. His encounter with the naive Generalic
painter by his peasant roots shows him the possibility of following the tradition of naive painters on glass. First collective exhibition at 19 and then personal in 1961 in Zagreb. International tour of Croatian naive art in the 1970s. The naive painting is for him an unconscious resistance to grow to stay in the beauty and innocence of the world.
