English painter & interior designer - Member of the Bloomsbury Group & the sister of Virginia Woolf - Her paintings first reflect the joint influence of American painters  John Singer Sargent and James Abbott McNeill Whistler. Gradually, she became interested in Impressionism and especially in French Post-Impressionism. Sensitive to the paintings of Paul Cézanne & Camille Pissarro.
