Rare pastel on paper laid down on canvas, signed bottom right with initials TRS dated 1902.
It is known that his more ambitious classical subjects consisted of
Greek and Roman subjects, most likely inspired by Alma-Tadema. In 1910,
he was the subject of a solo exhibition at the Fine Art Society.
