Etching with aquatint in colors on Japon wove 1961

This is a rare etching with aquatint in colors, with very wide borders. It is an HC edition of the etching that Chagall made especially to accompany the Edition Deluxe of the book "The Life and Work", with text by Franz Meyer.

This unique version is the "second state" proof out of 3 preparatory versions made for this etching; the plate is larger than the final version and features different colors, including green, blue and brown.
