This original lithograph is hand signed in pencil by the artist "D.A.Siqueiros" at the lower right margin.
It is also inscribed and dated in pencil “E/E 1940” at the lower left margin

Note: The two portraits are from a study for the Mural “Muerte al Invasor” painted by the artist in 1941-42 for the Biblioteca de la Escuelo Mexico, in Chillán Chile.
Along with Diego Rivera and José Clemente Orozco, Siqueiros established "Mexican Muralism." He was a Marxist-Leninist in support of the Soviet Union and a member of the Mexican Communist Party who participated in an unsuccessful attempt to assassinate Leon Trotsky in May 1940. Other impressions of this subject are held in the collections of Museo Blaisten, Mexico and Museo Nacional de Arte, Mexico.

Condition: Good condition. A minor tear in the upper right image. Time-staining across the sheet. Minor nicks and tears along the right sheet edge.
