Comments: Leading Art Nouveau artist, famous for his posters of Sarah Bernhardt and Job cigarette papers during late 1890s. He settled in Paris in 1890 and returned to Prague, 1910. Though not an American, he was included in the Am. Art Annual because he taught at New York Sch. Applied Design for Women before returning to Prague. His estate collection was given to Bibliothèque Forney, Paris, 1966.
