Original drawing, circa 1890, on brown paper, stamped with the initials C.P (Lugt 613b, rector, lower right)

Note:  This drawing is accompanied  by a letter from the office of Dr Joachim Pissarro signed by Alma Egger. In this letter she states that the original underdrawing  was by Camille Pissarro but that it has been significantly retouched by another hand creating much darker lines and shadows. A visible element of the original drawing is the Lugt 613b stamp of the initials C.P at the lower right. A copy of this letter is sold with the drawing.

Pissarro was well known for his drawings of Countryfolk working on the land.

Condition:  Generally in good contain but with tears at the paper edges.
